The prop shaft (intermediate shaft) of a Jaguar S-Type transfers power from the gearbox to the rear axle or transfer case. Worn U-joints, bearings or center support can cause vibrations, noise or excessive play. Replacing it prevents drivetrain damage and restores smooth operation.
